New Years at the Reinhardt's part 1

Fiona Reinhardt smiles and loads up a marshmallow, then offering the bag to Ase and Lokii"I'm so glad you could make it. Crazzyyy weather eh?"

Ase.Sjong : wow nice place

Elektra Matsouka wonders if there's any real bats in the trees "I could camp out here."

Lokii.Sjong "I got my aunt to let me drive the bigger boat so we can crash out there instead of trying to scramble for the last ferry seconds after midnight."

Seamus Reinhardt comes out of the house with two more bags of marshmallows, setting them beside Fiona. Then he opts to sit on the chair just behind his sister and takes a handful, not toasting them. He looks at the strangers and nods to each of them as he pulls black gloves out of his hoodie pocket and puts them on, conceding to weather over fashion. His eyes widen. "Last Ferry is at three." then he blinks. "You drive a BOAT ... you have like MANY boats?" he looks fascinated, speaking before he can even be introduced.

Fiona Reinhardt looks back at her brother and grins and then says "Seamus these are some friends from Theta Sigma from shops day. This is Ase, Lokii and Bat. This is my brother Seamus." She smiles at them all and then answers the Theta folks in turn starting with Ase "We like it. We had literally a front flowerbed at the old house. THIS is heaven." Then she turns to Bat "You'd probably be cold sleeping out here." And finally she turns to Lokii "Oh that's cool. I was going to offer the camping mats but you'll have a way better sleep on your boat.....and none of my brothers will step on you in the morning." She winks back to Seamus again and notices his new hoodie "Hey where did you get that one?" She had seen what he got for Christmas from the family.

Ase.Sjong  " I think Tante' Rose let him take it to get rid of us for the night , she has a new thing."

 Elektra Matsouka Yeah and lucky for me it's my dad. she says with a laugh that would make the devil blush.

Lokii.Sjong: We have 3 boats the speed boat, the yacht and the sloop it's a viking thing the yacht and sloop were our grandparents and the speedster is Tante's for shopping. he says most family's in Norway have 3 to 6 boats ."

Seamus Reinhardt nods at the Thetas. "Hey." he rumbles, ore secure in many ways than his brother Owen. "She says that cause I'm gonna be the one mowing all this grass." he grins and then shrugs at his sister. "Sam gave it to me. You know from the hockey team." he shoves his gloved hands into the pockets of said hoodie and leans into the fire. "What thing?" he wonders and then understands. "Ohhhh ... that .... yea, our parents got back together too. It was a close one." his hands come out again, reaching for more marshmallows. He arches his brows. "Three? Holy shit! We have a ferry that belongs to the public transportation authority we use when we want to get to the mainland." he laughs.

Fiona Reinhardt looks intrigued "Did you say you have a Viking boat? That would be epic....Do you ever pretend to raid places? You know just dock and go running in screaming like banshees...." Her imagination wanders for a bit and then she grins "Sorry." She points between Bat and the twins "Ok so your Dad...and your Aunt....." She does her best George Takei "Oh myyyy..." Then she leans back to Seamus examining the hoodie sleeve "Your friend Sam has a pretty good buddy shopping budget for Christmas....geez. Why didn't you invite him to this Shay?"

Ase.Sjong  "We did once on the sloop back in Oslo with Tante' It was epic tell the politi showed up and made us leave. "

Elektra Matsouka Yeah I caught the two of them smooching at the docks here so we all know what happened."

Seamus Reinhardt snorts as his sister starts pulling at his sleeve. "Their family is smaller than ours .. whose ISN'T?" he takes his arm back, hoping the handmade nature of the hoodie isn't obvious. He knows nothing about sewing himself, except how to get his other to fix a button. "And they're at the lighthouse this year, so I have my own travelling around to do. You know ... making the rounds so all can say Shay was with the on New Years." he puffs up mock importantly. "I'm a star hockey player, you know." its true enough.

Fiona Reinhardt sighs at Ase about the Viking raid being stunted and then giggles at Bat, giving Lokii a wave as he wanders away. She lets go of Shay's sleeve "What brand is it? And everyone's family is smaller than ours....except the fictional Weasleys...which people love to call us.....yep you're a star...and so modest too." she teases.

Ase.Sjong  "Too bad we had to wait until this year to pilot the boats here or I would so go raid Vancouver This summer season , Lokki has a temp permit due to his training with the ferry. as a porter. but hell yeas I want to go raiding and pillaging,have an all female raiding party at the shops."

Seamus Reinhardt shrugs. "How would I know." he demands. He's decently fashion conscious but not in a brand name way .. he just likes to look good in what he wears. he snorts. "Well if you hadn't successfully sold off the other three or four kids, I wouldn't be the youngest still around." he accuses looking at their guests as if he is pained by his sisters selling off the other kids ... of which there were none. Then he leans back, confident. "I AM modest. I'm damn good at playing hockey. Better then YOU guys." it is one of the ways he sets himself apart, even though he is still considered 'one of the Reinhardt boys'. No getting around that, probably. He looks at Lokii. "Don't encourage her. Our parents can't afford her bail." he watches Lokii depart with a nod.

Fiona Reinhardt grins wryly "Yes I won't burden them with bail...that's why I'm discreet. And those other siblings are all in your mind...clearly I need to play the tapes again while you sleep Shay.....listen to the sound of my voice..." She wiggles her brows and then turns back to the Theta friends "Can we raid Cedar Point for their sushi? I'll have to wear a mask since our Uncle is dating one of the sushi people...maybe they'd just comply then...." she muses.

Ase.Sjong:  Loki loves to show off i think it's his way of coping with things. Sounds like it would be fun I hear that there is a store owner there who hates kids. "

 Elektra Matsouka um Åse maybe we might hold off on that we only over heard some people at school." She mumbles "getting grounded sucks."


Seamus Reinhardt snorts. "Whatever. I know what I saw! Even if you made me forget where they are now." he stands. "As much as I would love to stay and charm you all, I need to make the rounds." he looks around. "Especially before Mr Huggie Kissy shows up. Why did Logan have to invite him, anyway?" he rolls his eyes and waves at the girls with the ever charming Reinhardt smile. "Happy New Year, girls ... and Fiona." and he wanders off through the trees.

Fiona Reinhardt laughs "Girls...and Fiona...Happy New Year Brat! I don't count as a girl apparently. The grocery store has a cranky lady. She left us a nasty note and stale crackers on Halloween when we trick or treated. Lokii will find lots of people to show off too tonight...nuts out on the streets as soon as it gets close to fireworks time. By Mr. Huggie Kissy Shay means our friend Kurt. He's German but his mother is French." She says as if this explains it all " Demonstrative family...."

Ase.Sjong  "mr kissy face? Is Vincent coming? "

 Elektra Matsouka " Oh? Wow a Norwegian and a German this is gonna get interesting."


Fiona Reinhardt: Fiona blushes in the growing darkness "Vincent's is the face I love to kiss, yes. I think my brother's are finally getting immune to seeing it happen thank goodness. He is coming, just a little later." She looks between Ase and Bat "Are there Norwegian traditions for New Years specifically?"

Ase.Sjong  We do a lot of fireworks each family battles with the others for bragging rights of the longest and loudest and stuff. "

 Elektra Matsouka Fiona have you ever seen a fire drake? ? She says with a smile " I could make one later".

Tony Penhall comes out of the house VERY carefully carrying a large tray with big decanter on it, surrounded with stacks of paper cups. He's around 10 years old and trying to look confident. "Good evening, ladies." he greets them, setting the tray on the hay bale beside Fiona. "I have brought hot chocolate. Can I pour for you?" he is clearly trying to be MUCH older than he is
.
Fiona Reinhardt tries not to giggle at Tony, who she clearly finds to be adorable. she completely forgets that she was about to ask Bat what a fire drake is. "Yes you may Tony. That's very kind." She looks at Ase and Bat "This is Tony. He's with us tonight while his Dad works as a DJ." She gestures grandly at Tony like he's the bees knees.

Ase.Sjong  " Hiyas Tony I'm Åse Pleased to meet you .

Elektra Matsouka " Wow Yes Please On the cocoa Tony, I'm Elektra but everyone calls me Bat."

Tony Penhall smiles and gets a cup, filling it for Fiona. "Here you are, you beautiful red haired goddess!" he tries to make his voice go deep, like his dad's and it squeaks. He looks over at Ase. Trying again at the deep voice is is only marginally successful at battling puberty. "Hey Ase! A pretty blonde bombshell!"" he looks at Electra, pouring her a cup too and moving over to her. Clearly he has someone in the entertainment industry in his family because he doesn't turn off the charm. "Bat! You are Electrifying!" he tells her and finally turns with the thermos and saunters back to the hay bale.

 Fiona Reinhardt almost drops her cup as she takes it, shaking from trying not to laugh in an obvious way. A little laugh squeak comes out and she grabs the cup and turns her face to the side breathily and silently cracking up. She clears her throat and turns back "Are you going to spin us some tunes now little man? You sound a bit like someone else..." She grins at her friends, wiping at her eyes a little.

Ase.Sjong smiles at Tony as he is a sweet charmer for sure and Puts him on her list of kids to borrow and take shopping for candy.

Elektra Matsouka waves her hand in front of Åse " Oh sa.....oooooh sah... wake up! uh oh she's Hypnotised."

Tony Penhall looks at Fiona with not an ounce of shame and begins beatboxing, then rapping. "I'm DJ Tony, sweet as hot chocolate. Serving up the ladies wit da money in my pockat! Black hair, white hair, even red! I'll rap for you till they make me go to bed!" he bows and sits, smiling and pouring himself a hot chocolate.

Fiona Reinhardt doesn't hide her laughter now at all and then ruffles Tony's hair "You're awesome buddy." She points up at the window of her brother's room which looks to be a crack open "I think your audience is growing too." She looks back at Ase and Bat "My folks are watching." Through the window, laughter can be heard.


Ase.Sjong  "Bravo well done you are just too cute Tony. " I bet you have all the single ladies ."

Elektra Matsouka: Be careful I hear vikings take kids and make them row the oars on there boats." she says sticking her tongue out at Åse.

Tony Penhall looks up and his face becomes ore dark chocolate than milk, but he silently toasts the spying adults. "I wish" he tells Ase he blonde. "But everyone thinks I'm still a little kid." he rolls his eyes. "Most of the NICE girls are all taken." he shrugs and glances for a second at Fiona. His eyes get big. "No way! My Dad'll kill ALL the Vikings they try and take me!"

Fiona Reinhardt giggles and pulls a marshmallow off her roasting stick, offering it out to Tony for his cocoa "You are the sweetest. And he probably would too." She waves to her parents and then looks at Ase and Bat "Do you babysit on Theta? I have to share this guy with Addy..." she jokes.

Ase.Sjong  No worries Tony Bat is just messing with you. " she says" No not any young kids to baby sit we do go and help out the dementia patients and that's kinda like babysitting sometimes . Ba'ts the youngest I met that lives there and she's too old."

Elektra Matsouka Laughs " you make 14 sound like 90 !" Nah Theta is kinda weird the docks are big but the town is tiny after 6pm things roll up."

Tony Penhall takes the marshmallow. "Thanks." he plops it in his cup and sips. "Smoooooth..." he intones. He grins. "I'm very sought after." he brags a little. He looks at the back door, which opens and Colleen Reinhardt comes out. "Come on in, Tony." she calls "I don't want you catching cold and losing that incredible voice of yours" Tony smiles, stands and bows deeply. "I gotta go ladies, but I will remember you all!" and he swaggers off into the house, where he hopes he can get some cookies before they make him go to bed.

Fiona Reinhardt giggles "Night Tony!" and then nods at Ase and Bat "Yep definitely another kind of babysitting. We've got some crazy old folks here too." she looks in the fire pit "Shoot I didn't get enough wood from the garage. I'll be back in a bit. There's a box of skates down by the ice if you feel like a spin out there. It's solid."
